I open the curtains but the room feels cold.
Sunlight falls where your jacket used to be.
I try to smile at the mirror on the wall, but it gives back someone I don't wanna see.
The kettle sings in the quiet kitchenette.
One empty chair keeps staring back at me.
I laugh it off like I'm almost fine, but every little sound brings back your memory.
I leave a message I know I won't send.
Delete the words before they breathe.
I tell myself this is how it ends, but my heart still waits for
what will never be. So I play it louder, louder than the pain.
