2 Pac - Wake Up The Musses (Asko Remix)

I woke up in a world where the headlines write the history.
Where a lie becomes the truth if they repeat it with consistency.
Everybody got a screen, everybody got a theory, but nobody checks the facts.
Where information sounds appealing, they can sell you any story with a face and a microphone.
Turn a complicated issue into something black and white.
A label on a stranger, make a villain out of fear.
They convince a million people that their enemy is standing near.
I watched the whole community stop arguing for days over words that came from people who had never seen the
place. One side throwing accusations, other side defending pride.
While the ones who started conflict watch the numbers multiply.
That's a clever operation, keep the people divided.
When they're busy fighting neighbors, they forget who supplied it.
Give them somebody to blame, give them something to despise.
Keep them staring at the smoke while the real decisions hide.
I ain't claiming I know everything, I'm saying we should question every promise from a podium, every carefully
rigged confession. Every headline needs a source, every claim deserves a test.
You can listen to an argument, start swallowing the rest.
